Valmet launched the DNA Automation System 2018 collection, introducing the Valmet DNA Dashboard concept,
which takes the visualization of transaction data to a whole new level. The Valmet DNA 2018 collection also includes enhancements to IO products and OPC UA (Unified Architecture) communication capabilities. Valmet DNA Automation System is used in the pulp, paper, energy and other process industries worldwide. Valmet DNA Dashboards make it easy to read and understand process data Valmet DNA Dashboards are web applications that present pre-analyzed, basic production process information with a visual that is easy to interpret. These web applications, which use real-time and historical data already available in the Valmet DNA Automation System available to customers, complement Valmet's Industrial Internet products and services. The new DNA Dashboards make it possible to react quickly to changing situations by immediately seeing what is happening in a production facility or factory.
The Valmet DNA Dashboard, which is easily linked to existing system data, can transmit key performance indicators and meaningful information to people with different user roles in any production facility or factory, from operators to CEOs. DNA Instrument Panels can also be used stationary outside the control room or mobile in any position. Jukka Ylijoki, Vice President of R&D, Valmet Automation Business Line, said the following about the product: "The Valmet DNA Dashboard has been designed in accordance with the principles of contemporary user experience. It is possible to change the content and presentation of the data collected from the Valmet DNA Automation System according to the assigned user roles and needs." Valmet DNA Dashboards are accessible by alarm management across all industries. Valmet also offers quality and manufacturing tracking dashboards for the paper, cardboard and tissue industries. Valmet has a panel for the energy industry on emissions and production efficiency, as well as energy production and availability. For the pulp industry, there are Valmet dashboards that monitor pulp manufacturing, departmental and baling quality.
