In the program established by Limak Energy in cooperation with Boğaziçi University Lifelong Education Center to provide qualified labor force to the energy sector, 100 young engineer candidates received NCCER certificates valid in 20 different countries, including the USA. Limak Holding, which has significant investments in the fields of production, trade and distribution in the energy sector, has graduated from Turkey's Energy Academy, which was launched in 2017 to increase the number of qualified employees needed by the sector. Limak Energy, which carries out its activities under the roof of Limak Holding, carries out the "Turkey's Energy Academy" trainings online together with the Boğaziçi University Lifelong Education Center. Engineering students who came to Istanbul from many different universities and regions of Turkey and were entitled to receive certificates after the exam they participated in received their certificates at a ceremony held at Boğaziçi University. After the training program, which started in November and lasted for about 7 months, the graduation ceremony of 100 young people was attended by Limak Energy Chairman Batuhan Özdemir, Boğaziçi University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşın Ertüzün, academicians and Limak Energy executives participated. We know that;  A strong tomorrow will only be possible with you young people who are educated and use knowledge correctly. As Limak, we are always aware of this responsibility." Özdemir said, "Turkey's Energy Academy builds a very important bridge between the university and the business world. Thanks to this bridge, both the business world will be able to reach the qualified workforce it needs and young people will know what awaits them when they enter the business life." Özdemir continued his words as follows: We are excited and proud to give our second semester graduates. We hope that each of them will have a role in shaping the future of the energy sector and therefore of our country. As Limak, while supporting our energetic young people, we will shed light on their journey to achieve their career goals. "WE WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE THE TRAININGS NEEDED BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR" Boğaziçi University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. In her speech, Ayşın Ertüzün stated that in the Boğaziçi University Strategic Plan covering the years 2015-2019, the strengthening of lifelong education activities was adopted as one of the strategic goals, and in this context, Boğaziçi University sees it as a social responsibility to reach out not only to its own students but also to all segments of the society in need of education with its lifelong education approach. "We are very happy to take part in such projects that are instrumental in sharing the knowledge of our university's qualified academic staff with wider segments. On behalf of my university and myself, I would like to thank Limak Energy, which has enabled us to increase the equipment of engineer candidates by cooperating with us in this regard." Dr. Ertüzün concluded his speech as follows: With such programs, our university strives to contribute to the creation of qualified and needed human resources by producing customized trainings needed by the private sector and thus to eliminate unemployment. Our academic staff specialized in different fields at our university contributed to the self-development of engineer candidates with an interdisciplinary approach by channeling their knowledge and skills to this project. We will continue to be involved in such efforts to develop and increase the economic power of our society.
