Ortadoğu Holding Chief Executive Officer Mehmet Gür, who announced that they plan to invest $ 380 million in the field of renewable energy, stated that they will continue to grow in the field of tourism and health. Ortadoğu Holding, which contributes to the economy and employment by growing the sectors it serves, is preparing to accelerate its investments in 2020. Aiming to grow all the sectors in which it operates, especially energy, health and tourism, the holding continues to work to revive the construction sector, which has recently started to revive again, with new projects.
"We had a positive start to 2020"
Ortadoğu Holding Chief Executive Officer Mehmet Gür made an assessment about the targets for the new period. Gür said, "The downward trend in inflation since the second half of 2019 and the positive developments experienced with the decision of financial institutions to reduce interest rates enabled us to make a more positive start to 2020. The tourism, health and energy sectors in which we operate have been making positive progress for a long time. We foresee that our other sectors will rise again with the new period, and we continue our feasibility studies in this direction."
"We are planning to invest 380 million dollars in our RES and JES projects"
Stating that renewable energy is one of the sectors they prioritize in 2020 and the coming period, Mehmet Gür said, "We are focusing on renewable energy with sensitivity both for the 2023 vision and for the future of our country and the world. We are planning to invest around 130 million dollars in four license areas of 120 MW in total in Hamsi and Fener WPP (Wind Power Plant), Kocaeli Karamürsel WPP and Çankırı Çerkeş WPP fields in Sinop. However, in the field of geothermal energy, we have licenses for four geothermal fields, three in Manisa and one in Kütahya. In our JES (Geothermal Power Plant) projects, which will have a total investment value of 250 million dollars, we aim to produce energy starting with 24 MW and going up to 72 MW. In addition, we will increase our installed power of 48.5 MW in our wind energy projects."
"We will carry our privileged concept in Antalya to the whole country and abroad"

Expressing that they are planning new hotel investments in order to contribute to the target of 75 million tourists targeted for 2023 in the tourism sector, Gür continued his words as follows; "We have achieved a serious success this year with WOME Deluxe, the largest alcohol-free family hotel of our country operating in Alanya İncekum, and we hosted 300 thousand guests with an occupancy rate of 85 percent in the June-September period. We believe that we will raise this rate even higher in 2020. However, we will carry this privileged holiday concept that we offer to our guests to different locations. Among our goals for the upcoming period is to open hotels in Trabzon, Fethiye, Marmaris and Bodrum with the WOME Deluxe brand. We are also in the process of evaluating the requests from Morocco and Spain to open our brand abroad. On the other hand, we continue our work at WOME Academy, which we launched in 2018 in cooperation with Antalya Bilim University, in order to increase the number of qualified employees and managers in the sector. So far, we have trained more than 1,750 tourism workers with approximately 650 hours of training, and we will continue our trainings in the new year."
"We will increase our contribution to health tourism with new branches"
Reminding that Turkey has come to the forefront with health tourism in recent years, Mehmet Gür said, "With the Nişantaşı Obesity Institute we established within the body of Nişantaşı Hospital, we have designed a process where we can follow the obesity process from beginning to end. In addition to obesity, our hospital makes a significant contribution to health tourism by coming to the forefront with its expertise in the field of aesthetics. So much so that more than 4,500 of the more than eight thousand surgical operations we performed in our hospital in 2019 took place in the field of aesthetic and plastic surgery. Citizens of many countries, especially England, Holland and France, prefer our country and our hospital, and 75 percent of our patients are foreigners. In 2020, we continue our efforts to contribute to health and health tourism by opening two more important branches, dental and eye."
"We are starting new projects in construction"

Mehmet Gür stated that the mobility that started in the last period of 2019 in the construction sector, which has had a stagnant period for the last two years, is a pleasing development for the sector and said, "We started to observe a stirring in sales with the support given by public banks to housing loan interest rates and rapidly falling interest rates in the last quarter. This shows that by 2020, stocks will melt much faster and demand will increase again. In this process, we plan to complete the sale of residential and commercial areas in our existing projects, to advance the construction of our Painting Modern project that we started in Kağıthane, and to lay the foundation of our Painting Çengelköy project."
"We aim to produce compost fertilizer and fuel from waste"
Mehmet Gür, who said that they have a facility in İzmir Torbalı where they dispose of non-hazardous industrial wastes, said about their new projects in the field of environmental technologies, "We are planning to establish a facility to produce compost fertilizer-fuel by collecting and processing hazardous-non-hazardous wastes and domestic wastes. Especially in Kocaeli and Manisa, where factories are intense, our feasibility studies continue. We also have a project to make waste-derived fuel (ATY)."
