The consumption record in 2017 was broken on Wednesday, March 15 with 91 thousand 541 MWh. CONSUMPTION FALLS DURING THE HOLIDAYS The amount of consumption decreases significantly due to the fact that Istanbul is empty with holidays and visits to relatives during the holidays and many workplaces are closed. For this reason, the lowest consumption in 2018 again coincided with a feast day. In 2017, the lowest consumption of the year was realized with 42 thousand 945 MWh on August 1, the first day of the Feast of Sacrifice, while this time the bottom of the year was seen with 47 thousand 927 MWh on Sunday, June 17, the last day of the Ramadan Feast. The second lowest consumption in 2018 was experienced on the first day of the Feast of Sacrifice with 48 thousand 144 MWh. HIGHEST MONTHLY CONSUMPTION In January , when we look at the years 2017 and 2018, it was seen that the highest consumption in the BEDAŞ region was experienced in January. Due to the fact that the consumer profile on the European Side of Istanbul tends to increase electricity consumption in order to warm up on cold days, the highest consumption of the year was experienced with 2 million 523 thousand MWh in January 2018. The lowest consumption on a monthly basis was in June with 2 million 102 thousand MWh. HIGHEST CONSUMPTION AND SUBSCRIBERS IN ESENYURT As of the end of 2018, the total number of subscribers was 5 million 21 thousand, and BEDAŞ received the most subscribers during the year from Esenyurt, which has developed rapidly in recent years. In 2018, the number of subscribers joining the system from Esenyurt increased by 24 thousand 106 units and reached 426 thousand 306. In addition to the number of subscribers, the electricity consumption record also came from Esenyurt. The total annual consumption of the district was 2 million 217 thousand kWh.
