Zorlu's sun will rise with its ecosystem
Zorlu Energy brought together many business people from different cities of Turkey at the Solar Summit organized in Istanbul in order to develop business partnerships that will create
an ecosystem in Turkey in the field of solar energy, in which it has made significant investments. Zorlu Enerji has taken another important step that will spread its expertise in the field of solar energy to all of Turkey. Zorlu Energy, which brought together many business people from different cities in Istanbul with the Solar Summit it organized, has achieved another first in creating a solar energy ecosystem in Turkey. At the meeting hosted by Zorlu Energy Solar Director Evren Evcit and attended by many SME company representatives from Anatolia, Solar Sales Manager Mehmet Özenbaş made a seminal presentation including opportunities for solar energy.
Zorlu Energy Solar Director Evren Evcit: " We will carry our knowledge and opportunities in the field of solar energy to all of Turkey" Director Evren Evcit, who made the opening speech of the meeting, said that they have not only invested in this field, but also adopted the development of solar energy applications in Turkey and the creation of a solar energy ecosystem as their mission. Stating that they have organized many meetings on this subject and that he believes that the Solar Summit will be an important milestone in this regard, Evcit continued his
words as follows: "When we look at the rate of increase, 2017 was the year when solar energy first passed all other sources. The installed power will surpass Wind Energy by 2025, Hydropower in 2030 and coal before 2040. In our country, with the guiding role of the state in this regard and with the investments of the private sector, the installed power based on solar energy has reached 5,063 MW. As a country, we think that we have to turn to imports to meet our ever-increasing energy needs and therefore we are unprotected against the movements in exchange rates, the sun is the most important domestic and renewable energy source we have. For this reason, as Zorlu Energy, we strive to explain the power of solar energy systems in every program we organize or participate. 
As a country, we explain that we need to create an ecosystem in order to make a real leap in this area where we have a high potential, especially on the roof side. As part of a group that has put sustainability at the heart of its business model, we believe that solar is the only solution to both realizing the dream of a better life and balancing electricity prices. In this direction, we invest in solar energy systems, especially the installation of solar panels on roofs, with a 360-degree perspective. We aim to increase our solution partner network, which is currently at 20 points across Turkey for rooftops, to 50 by May and to cover all our provinces by the end of 2019. Our solution partners, who will present Zorlu Energy's experience for rooftops in their regions with appropriate financing solutions, have been selected among the serious companies that are competent in their fields, dominant in their regions and have received all the necessary technical and commercial training by Zorlu Energy. With the offset that we expect to be released soon, the individual and industrial roof market will be the 2nd year of 2019. We anticipate that it will accelerate by half. We will present our knowledge and all our opportunities for the formation of the solar energy ecosystem we target by bringing together the most appropriate technical and financial solutions with our solution partners that will cover all four corners of Turkey and bring the sun to the sector. I believe that this meeting will make an important contribution to all of us on the way to creating this ecosystem by developing new business partnerships. In the long run, both our country and us and all those who dream of a more livable world will win." 
Solar Sales Manager Mehmet Özenbaş: " We are the leader in the world with over 20,000 MW of global project references, and in Turkey with our products over 500 MW" Sales Manager Mehmet Özenbaş, who made a very comprehensive presentation at the meeting, said that as Zorlu Energy, they have a very serious know-how for solar energy systems and continue to improve themselves day by day with the applications they have implemented and their international business partnerships. Özenbaş stated that they can grow this pie together with the solar energy systems that will spread all over the country and continued his words as follows:
"As Zorlu Energy, 87% of our power plants in Turkey are based on renewable energy sources. As of today, our investment process for installation over 400 MW for solar energy systems, which is one of the cleanest and most efficient energy sources, continues. In this regard, we offer a wide range of solutions ranging from high-level technology to access network to all of Turkey, from a single point of after-sales service and warranty management to special financing options. We carry out domestic production of membrane-based and aluminum framed solar energy panels. We are also the only authorized distributor of First Solar PV thin-film solar panels in 26 countries. We have agreements with the world's leading inverter and O&M companies. Today, we are the world leader with over 20,000 MW of global project references and the sector leader with over 500 MW of products installed in Turkey. Especially in the installation of solar panels on roofs, we have signed very important and large-scale projects. The world's largest, one-stop thin film roof that we established in the Osmaniye Organized Zone is one of the best examples of this. When we consider that solar energy is the only sufficient source of fixing and resetting electricity prices, which is one of the most important items of product unit cost in the industry, there are great opportunities in front of us.
