Trina Solar Limited ("Trina Solar" or "Company"), a leading solution provider in the solar industry, has announced that it will offer a 167MW PV module to Europe's largest capacity solar PV project. ACS Group and its subsidiary, Cobra, specialize in turnkey energy infrastructures. It is building the power plant in Mula, Murcia province (Spain), which will cover 1,000 hectares with a total capacity of 500 MW. Deliveries are scheduled for Q3/Q4-2018 and Q1/2019. The project is expected to be operational by the end of 2019. Trina Solar will supply 496,000 TSM-PE14H multi-crystalline modules with 335W and 340W power output. The semi-cell design provides higher efficiency, and the new cell array layout reduces energy losses caused by inter-row shading. In addition, 1500V certified modules provide an extra advantage for large-scale installations as CSF reduces costs by connecting more modules in a series. Trina Solar Europe President Gonzalo de Viña shared the following words. "We are thrilled to see this impressive project rise to become the largest in Europe with Trina Solar modules. We are confident that our business relationship with Cobra has a bright future. Despite the pause in the Spanish PV market in recent years, this effort proves that solar and solar power generation projects are re-emerging as the technology is already competitive without subsidies." De la Viña also added: "In addition to the continuous growth in Europe and other traditional markets, since the beginning of the year our products have been gaining momentum and growing in popularity in the Middle East, Latin America and APAC. With continued success in emerging markets, our orders far exceeded expectations." As a leading global module manufacturer, Trina Solar has built a strong sales and operations team worldwide with products sold to more than 100 countries and territories worldwide. At the end of 2017, the company ranked first among module manufacturers worldwide, with total shipments exceeding 32GW to date. In 2017, Trina Solar's worldwide deliveries amounted to more than 9 GW, of which more than 60 percent were outside the Chinese domestic market. In the third quarter of 2018, Trina Solar's modules worldwide continue to sell well, and the company's production facilities inside and outside China are operating at full capacity. Trina Solar is currently expanding its supply capacity to meet the growing demand for its products.
