GE Renewable Energy to hire 300 people for wind turbine blade factory in Turkey
LM Wind Power, part of GE Renewable Energy, aims to create an additional 300 jobs at its wind turbine blade plant in Turkey to respond to the growing demand for wind energy around the world, including in Europe and Asia. Located in Bergama, Turkey, the factory employs 450 people today and will increase the number of employees to over 700 in 2020.- Of the additional 300 employees, 40 have been hired in recent months and have begun intensive training within the factory's 'Centre of Excellence'.

LM Wind Power, part of GE Renewable Energy, announced today that it plans to hire an additional 300 employees to work at its wind turbine blade manufacturing facility in Bergama, Turkey. LM Wind Power will respond to the growing global demand for wind energy by exporting turbine blades to markets around the world, including Europe and Asia, by increasing its workforce. The Bergama plant, which opened in July 2017, became LM Wind Power's 15th facility worldwide and the first to open after GE Renewable Energy. Today, the plant has 450 employees, 26 percent of whom are women. "

The positions opened for the job are open to all profiles, to the level of knowledge and experience. Each new employee will receive training on wind turbine blades in LM Wind Power's 'Centre of Excellence' training programme, taking part in a six-week theoretical and practical training programme that continuously improves the quality of products and thus end-user satisfaction. Beginners will also receive mentoring from experts from LM Wind Power facilities around the world.
Bergama Factory Manager Ozan Mamay, who started his speech

We are proud to be a part of the social and economic development of the city and we are happy to create more business areas in this environment this year." At the same time, the construction of a new building on the plant began. This plant will increase the production capacity of the plant, especially after wing molding.
